Our StaffCynthia Farberis a Certified Translator (Sp-Eng/Eng-Sp) with vast experience in legal, technical and business translations. She has worked as a translator and interpreter for many American and Argentine companies and performed writing and proof-reading tasks for private and public institutions for over 10 years. She was the co-founder of Idioma Online, a translation and training services company, where she was the Director of the Translation and Interpretation Division for seven years. She was Associate Professor of Translation & Interpretation II (2001-2005) and Translation & Interpretation IV (1998-2000) at the School of Law, University of Buenos Aires for eight years. She also was Assistant Professor of Strategy and Coordinator of the Business Plan Module in the Business Administration Graduate Program (DBA) at the University of Belgrano (2003-2004). She has coordinated and conducted legal and business training programs for world-class law firms and companies, workshops for professionals and English programs for specific purposes. She is currently a professor at the Certified Translators Association of the City of Buenos Aires [Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.] She has completed graduate studies in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Creativity, Public Speaking, Negotiating and other specific legal programs in Argentina and overseas and has given lectures in several academic and business events. Cynthia is currently the President and Founder of The TR Company, an Argentine firm which provides translation and training services for companies all over the world. Apart from practicing yoga and meditation, she takes piano, singing, and painting lessons and is an amateur writer.
Tamara Fuksis in charge of performing all The TR Company’s administrative tasks. She has vast experience in administration and small-accounting. She worked for several companies, including Idioma Online. Tamara is responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the other members of the company. Her duties at The TR Company include, among many other things, backup receptionist duties, such as visitor control, answering telephones, and photocopying materials; ordering supplies; issuing correspondence; invoicing, scheduling meetings; maintaining office supplies; escorting suppliers; maintaining sensitive and vital document files, activity calendars and appointment schedules. She has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work timely and efficiently at all times. Tamara enjoys cooking and she is, in fact, an excellent cook. She loves public relations and getting together with her family and friends. She likes singing, dancing, traveling, going to the movies, theaters, and live shows.
Anabella Mónacois a highly qualified, skilled and detail-oriented Eng-Sp/Sp-Eng translator with vast experience in business translations. She is one of The TR Company’s Project Leaders and previously held the same position at Idioma Online, a company that provided translation and training services. She has also been working as a free-lance translator and interpreter since 2003. Anabella was Assistant Professor of Translation & Interpretation II at the University of Buenos Aires during 2004 and Assistant Professor of Translation & Interpretation III in 2005. She has conducted several workshops for professionals, especially in legal matters. Among her duties as Project Leader at The TR Company, Anabella performs planning and estimating, proof-reading, translating, and project management tasks: She coordinates translation teams, and plays an integral role in the success of each translation project by ensuring that translations are delivered with quality and on time. She is also in charge of recruiting translators who want to become part of the company’s staff.
Anabella is very keen on yoga and meditation, and a music enthusiast. She is currently taking drumming and singing lessons.
Eugenia Monederois a motivated, skilled, quality-minded, Eng-Sp/Sp-Eng translator specialized in technical translations. She has been working as a free-lance translator for different companies since 2003 and has recently become part of The TR Company’s staff as a Project Leader. Eugenia was Assistant Professor of Translation & Interpretation II at the University of Buenos Aires in 2004. She has conducted several workshops for professionals, especially in legal matters. Among her duties as Project Leader at The TR Company, Eugenia performs proof-reading, translating, and editing tasks, coordinates translation teams, and provides support and assistance to translators in each project. She prepares estimates in the pre-project stage, and is highly skilled at gathering and analyzing reference material for the different translation projects. Eugenia is very fond of music and writing. She takes piano lessons and is planning to take writing lessons in the future to enhance her superb writing skills.
Florencia Vaqueroholds a degree in Translation (Sp-Eng/Eng-Sp) and a degree in Sociology from the University of Buenos Aires. She has worked as an English teacher in-company and as a Market Research Analyst in many international market research consulting firms.She has worked as a free-lance translator since 2003. She has vast experience in technical, business, advertising and marketing translations. She has recently joined The TR Company as a Project Leader. Among her duties at The TR Company, Florencia performs proof-reading, translating, editing and project management tasks. She also coordinates and monitors ongoing projects and provides support and assistance to translators, fostering collaboration and communication among the translators involved in each project. Florencia loves reading and watching films, and she is very fond of art history.
María Victoria Gil RobertShe holds a degree in Translation (Sp-Eng/Eng-Sp) from the University of Buenos Aires. She is easy-going and a perfectionist. She works as a free-lance translator since 2005. She worked as a secretary and translates for an international publishing house. She specializes in the translation of legal, technical, religious and spirituality texts. She started working as a free-lance translator for The TR Company by the end of 2007 and, in less than a month, she was selected to join our in-house staff as a Project Leader. Among her duties at The TR Company, Victoria deals with the assignment, proof-reading, and editing of translations and coordinates translation projects. Thanks to her willingness and enthusiasm, Victoria contributes to the efficient and hassle-free development of projects, building a strong team identity.
Victoria is very supportive and versatile, which helps create a relaxed and warm work environment.
She loves travelling and is very fond of movies and music.
Pablo Crescentiniis an Eng-Sp/Sp-Eng translator. He worked as an over-the-phone interpreter, and gained valuable experience in areas such as medicine, insurance and finance. Besides, he has worked as a free-lance translator for The TR Company since early 2007. He specializes in the translation of computing and technology texts. He joined The TR Company as a Project Leader in late 2007. In that capacity, Pablo builds and coordinates translation teams, performs proof-reading and editing tasks, and provides assistance to translators through the different stages of a project. Besides, he is in charge of document management, that is, he handles and systematizes the data created or received by our company throughout each project. The data is kept as reference material for future projects (glossaries, translations, and useful links, among others.)
Pablo is a detail-oriented, orderly and neat person. He is meticulous, didactic, and very analytical in nature.
He enjoys cooking, listening to music, going to
the cinema and reading. He studied German for many years. He also practices Tai Chi since 2005, an
activity he has grown very fond of.
Mariana RíosAt The TR Company, Mariana is in charge of the Training Department, primarily tasked with examining processes and procedures to improve the operational functions associated with training: registration, material ordering, communications with teachers and students, and scheduling. Other responsibilities include planning, allocating and monitoring training projects to ensure the attainment of department objectives; making decisions regarding teachers' recruitment, compensation, training and development; and conducting performance appraisals. Mariana is an Eng-Sp/Sp-Eng translator and has been working as a free lance translator since 2005 with experience in different fields. She is currently studying law course at the University of Buenos Aires and has attended several seminars on translation and teaching. She is also working as an English teacher specialized in business and legal matters.
Mariana loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is committed to social work and always
volunteers in projects related to community service. She is also very fond of writing.
