The Center graphic above is the Chinese word for Crisis. The aim of this seminar is to help students understand the principles of crisis management and the need to create and maintain a crisis management plan. The seminar also integrates concepts from communications and organizational behaviour to provide an insight into aspects of crisis that are commonly overlooked, including the need for business impact analysis and the necessity of periodic contingency reviews. Topics Include:
Participants taking this seminar will learn the purpose and benefits of crisis management and the justification for investing in it. We will define common terms used by crisis managers, explain how crisis management relates to other organizational programs designed to preserve and protect a company in the face of a crisis, identify examples that illustrate the effective use of crisis management, and recognize common reasons why crisis management plans fail.
