Culture & Change

This course provides insights into the confusing and often difficult process of changing workplace culture. We will examine why people resist change on both the corporate and individual levels, show how passive aversion to cultural problems affects company performance, and provide an actionable framework for transforming corporate culture.

Cultural Differences

In our era of diversity and globalization, respect for cultural differences is constantly stressed. In our international negotiations, our counterparts are complex people who won’t necessarily follow their cultural scripts.

In this module we will address the issue of what factors trigger culturally based thinking, by giving participants negotiation problems under varying conditions in order to identify the psychological triggers of culturally based thinking.

A better understanding of these triggers will help participants adapt to differences that arise in negotiations with people from diverse backgrounds.
