Latest Translation Projects
Since the best way to test experience is counting the number of times when knowledge, hard work, commitment to the job, and team work were successfully mingled so as to get the desirable outcome to meet clients’ needs, the quality and expertise of a translation services company are inevitably defined by the projects it develops.
The following list shows The TR Company’s most recent translation projects:
Arbitration Proceedings
- Memorial and Counter-Memorial on the Merits, Memorial and Counter-Memorial on Jurisdiction, Rejoinders and Replies, Memoranda of Understanding, Experts’ Opinions, Witnesses’ Statements, and Economic Reports; Decrees, Laws, Resolutions and Circulars, and Concession Agreements. These were some of the documents submitted in arbitration proceedings brought before the ICSID by foreign public utilities against the Argentine Government that were sent to us by local and foreign law firms for translation into both English and Spanish. A specialized team of more than 10 translators worked on this project for four years and was coordinated by Cynthia Farber.

Environmental Audits
- Several environmental audits and environmental impact reports with highly technical vocabulary concerning oil, gas and electric power plants were translated from Spanish into English for an American company providing technical, financial, risk management, infrastructure, environmental, and construction solutions to public and private sector organizations in a broad range of markets. This project was undertaken by a work team of 5 translators which was formed and coordinated by Florencia Vaquero, who was also responsible for project follow-up.

Colombian Wholesale Energy Market
- Laws, Executive Orders, Resolutions, Experts’ Opinions, Reports on the Colombian Wholesale Energy Market, pricing mechanisms, and cost analysis, and Agreements, are only a few of the many documents we have been translated from Spanish into English for three years now, in connection with an action filed by Colombian electric power companies against the Colombian Government. Translations were requested by a US-based law firm with vast experience in several practice areas, including insurance, energy, financial services, and telecommunications, which provides counsel to the electric power companies.

Business, Management & Strategy
- Papers and PowerPoint presentations on marketing, IT, international trade, strategy, foreign direct investment, economics, innovation, and doing business with China have been translated both from English into Spanish and Spanish into English for the business journal published by a world leading management consulting firm advising major companies on issues of strategy, organization, technology, and operations.

International Arbitration Book
- A 600-page English book on international arbitration describing the different stages of the arbitration process, arbitral tribunals and court systems worldwide, and other alternative dispute resolution methods was translated by a team of five translators who specially focused on using neutral Spanish. This project also called for careful formatting and editing and was coordinated by Anabella Mónaco.

Administrative Law Books
- Two books on Administrative Law, of 300 pages each, were translated from Spanish into Portuguese for a publishing company specialized in law, economics, politics, history, and philosophy titles.
